The strategic objective of Plataforma Ambiente Portugal is to provide essential mechanisms and information to stimulate Cooperation and Coopetition among Portuguese companies. These innovative concepts, already existing, but little disseminated in the national reality, appear as important technical tools for Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and other entities, to overcome obstacles, in order to achieve a simultaneously sustained and competitive growth.
It works as a virtual space that compiles Portuguese entities that are already examples of cooperation and coopetition or that intend to start projects based on these concepts and that work “in the Environment” or “with the Environment” , that is:
i) work in the environmental sector or (eg water; waste; air; etc.)
ii) work in other sectors but on environmental issues (e.g. quality management systems in the retail sector; food sector; etc) or
iii) work in other related sectors, essential for the operation of the previous ones (eg financing; insurance; etc.)
In addition, it intends to provide a showcase of cooperation and even coopetition projects as well as a portfolio of international entities available for partnerships , allowing the dissemination of concrete cases and also the stimulation of new consortia, new associations, more synergies, more innovation.
It is thus intended to actively contribute to the development, commercialization and internationalization of knowledge and technologies existing in Portugal, in terms of the Environment, accepting its transversality to the various sectors of the Portuguese economy.
This platform has no costs associated with users.
It is developed and managed by APEMETA , the Portuguese Association of Environmental Technologies Companies within the scope of the AMBIPOR III Project – Environment in Portugal , developed with co-financing from the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalization – Compete 2020.
